Volunteer Dawn and friend releasing a juvenile mourning dove - see more photos from previous years
What a great day! Each year we like to open our doors so that the public can see wildlife rehabilitation in action! We have games, nature activities, live releases of rehabilitated animals, wildlife demonstrations and much more. It's a great opportunity for learning and interaction with wonderful animals native to the state of Maine. This year was no exception!
In addition to our usual fare, this year we will featured a special exhibit "Solar for Wildlife" by our Lead Underwriter, PhotoVoltUS, Inc.
Special appreciation to our Event Sponsors: Atlas Stoneworks and Woodin & Co. Store Fixtures, Inc.
And... thanks to Nola Cady Broker, Team Wunder, Remax Realty One, York County Community Action Corp., and Seacoast Waste Services, we had two free shuttle trollies transporting folks up and down the mountain this year to reduce traffic and parking along Mountain Road. Thanks to Rep. Dawn Hill, we also had the use of the York District Court House parking lot at the base of Chases Pond Road in York for parking and trolley pick up/drop off.
